Volkswagen will start integrating ChatGPT into its cars later this year, after a presentation at the CES electronics trade fair.
Volkswagen will have ChatGPT as a part of the backend of its IDA voice assistant.
Drivers will be able to control the car’s functionalities with a voice interface. Volkswagen is still waiting for permission in the US to use the assistant.
The LLM will also feature 10,000 questions related to car or brand-specific questions.

OpenAI, facing legal challenges over copyrighted content use in AI models like ChatGPT, argues that avoiding such material is impractical.
